EGRIU BEATS HIGGINS IN COURT TO SET UP FIRST PRIMARY CHALLENGE SINCE 2004
Congressional candidate Eddie Egriu defeated Congressman Brian Higginsβ legal challenge to his petitions, allowing Egriu to run in the primary as an incumbent. The ruling found Egriu had more than enough signatures, and Higginsβ attorney conceded. Egriu accused Higgins of trying to disenfranchise minority voters, and thanked Justice Wojtaszek for accepting affidavits that provided the margin of victory.
