As I have been pushing to fix our hazardous leaded water pipes, they have finally started to talk about it and allocate a few dollars that only deals with a small portion of the pipes which is about 1,000 homes. We have more than 40,000 homes contaminated with lead in Buffalo alone and if we add the rest of the district I'm sure it will be close to 150,000 homes. At least my opponent directed 10 million out of 1.5 billion that he will spend on the waterfront, so add that up it is 0.67% not even 1%. He never even considered the pipes until I officially announced my candidacy and declared that we must address the leaded pipes.
When elected I will stop his foolish spending and relocate at least 14% out of the 1.5B and fix all of our leaded pipes in the whole district. this will not only fix the 5% they proposed this will fix the rest of the 95%.
